Welcome to SLO NightWriters

Tolosa Press Represents An Opportunity

Writers are in love with their words and their craft. A moment of joy comes when writers see their words and their names in print.

The excitement of being published is seldom “old hat” to writers, no matter how often it has happened. Whether you are waiting for that first magical moment, or it’s been a while since you’ve been published, the NightWriter column in Tolosa Press offers you a private line from NightWriters to the editors at Tolosa Press.

NightWriters has been providing stories for a twice-a-month column in the Tolosa Press publications for over five years now. More than 150 submissions have been published during that time and in 2014, "The Best of SLO NightWriters In Tolosa Press 2009-2013" anthology (edited by Judythe Guarnera) was published. If the NightWriter Editorial Committee likes your work, it will be forwarded to Tolosa. At that point, although we can’t guarantee your submission will be published, our track record is excellent.

A NightWriter has the potential for being published in one, two or all three of the Tolosa publications, with a circulation of 10,000 for each paper. When you are compiling your list of credits, being able to show that you have been published in the same publication a number of times, impresses editors; they know the publisher likes your work and it wasn’t just a lucky fluke.

Did you know that Tolosa Press prints 30,000 copies that are distributed in more than 600 racks/locations in the county, besides online?

Hover your mouse on the Menu item titled 'Submission Guidelines', you'll find all you need to know to write your piece and submit. If you have any questions, you can contact me at:
