Have your writing published in the Tolosa Press Publications (circulation 10,000 each pub.)

Deadline Open!

Write something new or select from your best.  Submit articles, short stories, human interest, creative non-fiction, personal experiences, excerpts from novels, local interest and community pieces.  Also, winning entries from the NW 500 word short story contests from any year.

Submit as many entries as you like.  You may be published multiple times.

  • Email your submissions to tolosa@slonightwriters.org
  • Put ‘Tolosa Call for Submissions’ in the subject line.
  • Send as an attachment, not in the body of the email.
  • Word limit 650-789 (exception made for the NW 500 short story contest winners.)
  • Use standard manuscript format: double spaced, a readable 12 point font such as Courier or Century.
  • The header of each page must include:
  • Title of Work
  • Author Last Name
  • Genre
  • Page Number
  • Word Count
  • All submissions must be original works of the author.
  • Include a 2-sentence bio at the end of the piece.
  • You may submit previously published material.
  • Make sure your NW annual donation is paid.  Only NW members may submit.
  • Entries will be screened by an editing committee to conform to Tolosa requirements.
  • If your submission is selected, Dennis Young, NW photographer, will arrange to take your professional portrait in Tolosa Press format (free of charge!)
